Howard Hesseman
Biography
Howard Hesseman (February 27, 1940 – January 29, 2022) was a prominent American actor celebrated for his memorable performances on television. He is perhaps best remembered for portraying the laid-back disc jockey Dr. Johnny Fever on the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati and for his role as Charlie Moore, a history teacher, in the series Head of the Class. Hesseman's career spanned several decades, from the 1970s into the 2010s, during which he made numerous appearances on both television and in films.
In addition to his iconic roles, Hesseman gained recognition for playing Sam Royer, the husband of the main character Ann Romano, during the final two seasons of the popular show One Day at a Time. He also showcased his comedic talents in a supporting role as Captain Pete Lassard in the movie Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment. Throughout his career, Hesseman demonstrated a remarkable ability to bring depth and humor to his characters, making him a beloved figure in the entertainment industry.
