Ye, originally named Kanye Omari West, was born on June 8, 1977, and has established himself as a prominent American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and fashion designer. Renowned as one of the most pivotal figures in hip hop, he is often celebrated as one of the finest musicians of his era.

Hailing from Atlanta but raised in Chicago, West first drew attention in the early 2000s as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he crafted hits for various artists and pioneered the "chipmunk soul" sampling technique. His ambition led him to launch a solo career, culminating in the release of his debut album, The College Dropout, in 2004, which was met with both critical acclaim and commercial success. That same year, he established his own record label, GOOD Music.
