Frank Sivero, born Francesco LoGiudice on January 6, 1952, is a distinguished American character actor renowned for his memorable roles in iconic films. His notable performances include Genco Abbandando in the critically acclaimed *The Godfather Part II*, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and based on Mario Puzo's novel, and Frankie Carbone in Martin Scorsese's legendary crime film *Goodfellas*, a character inspired by real-life figure Angelo Sepe.
Originally hailing from Siculiana, Sicily, Sivero was raised in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, New York. His film career began with a minor role as an extra in the original *The Godfather*, where he witnessed the infamous beating of Sonny Corleone’s brother-in-law, Carlo. It was his compelling performance in *The Godfather Part II* that caught the attention of Scorsese, leading to his casting in *Goodfellas*.
