Hans Conried
Biography
Hans Georg Conried, Jr. (April 15, 1917 – January 5, 1982) was a prominent American actor and voice artist, celebrated for his extensive contributions to the world of entertainment, particularly in animation and television. Conried gained widespread recognition for voicing iconic characters in Walt Disney productions, notably Mr. George Darling and Captain Hook in the beloved animated film Peter Pan, released in 1953. That same year, he starred in the lead role of Dr. T in the whimsical musical The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T.
In addition to his film work, Conried showcased his talent on television, portraying Dr. Miller on The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, and taking on the character of Professor Kropotkin in both the radio and film adaptations of My Friend Irma. He also became a familiar face as Uncle Tonoose in the popular sitcom Make Room for Daddy, alongside Danny Thomas. Beyond these roles, Conried made memorable guest appearances on the classic series I Love Lucy, where he showcased his versatility as a performer.
