Hilary Shepard
Biography
Hilary Shepard, born Hilary Shapiro on December 10, 1959, in New York City, is a multifaceted American actress and singer with Eastern European Jewish ancestry. She began her artistic journey in the mid-1980s as the co-lead singer and percussionist for the all-female band American Girls, which released music under IRS Records. Transitioning into acting, Shepard made her film debut in the romantic comedy Summer Lovers (1982) and later appeared in the military comedy Weekend Pass (1984).
She is perhaps best recognized for her role as the nefarious pirate queen Divatox in the popular series Power Rangers Turbo (1997) and its accompanying film Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Her acting repertoire also includes guest appearances on acclaimed series such as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, where she portrayed characters Hoya and Lauren. In addition to her television work, she had a notable role in the comedy film The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) and has continued to feature in TV movies, including The Wrong Fiancé (2021).
Previously married to Nick Turner, Shepard is a devoted mother to their two daughters and remains an active presence in the entertainment industry, showcasing her diverse talents in both music and acting.
