Percy Herbert, born on July 31, 1920, in England, was a versatile character actor renowned for his portrayals of military figures in film. His most memorable performances include roles in iconic films such as "The Bridge on the River Kwai," "The Wild Geese," and "Tunes of Glory." However, Herbert's talent extended beyond the confines of war dramas; he showcased his comedic flair in films like "Barnacle Bill," "Call Me Bwana," and appeared in two entries of the beloved "Carry On" series.
