Keizo Kanie
Biography
Keizo Kanie was a renowned Japanese actor, widely recognized for his significant impact on the film industry. His exceptional skills earned him critical acclaim, highlighted by his win for Best Supporting Actor at the inaugural Yokohama Film Festival. This accolade celebrated his standout performances in notable films such as *Angel Guts: Red Classroom* and *The Nineteen-Year-Old's Map*, both released in 1979. Kanie's talent continued to be acknowledged throughout his career, culminating in yet another Best Supporting Actor award at the 12th Yokohama Film Festival for his roles in *Ready to Shoot* and *Boku to, bokura no natsu*, both released in 1990.
Sadly, Kanie's life came to an end on March 30, 2014, when he passed away at the age of 69 after a battle with stomach cancer. His legacy endures through the memorable characters he portrayed and the impact he left on Japanese cinema, making him a beloved figure in the industry.
