Biography

Lester Louis Adler, born on December 13, 1933, is a prominent American record and film producer, as well as a co-owner of the iconic Roxy Theatre located in West Hollywood, California. Over the years, Adler has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of numerous influential musical acts, including the Grass Roots, Jan & Dean, the Mamas & the Papas, and the legendary Carole King. Notably, he produced King's landmark album, *Tapestry*, which garnered the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1972 and is often hailed as one of the finest pop albums in history.

In addition to his work in music, Adler served as an executive producer for the cult classic *The Rocky Horror Picture Show*, and he was instrumental in the creation of comedy albums and films featuring the comedic duo Cheech & Chong. His contributions to the entertainment industry earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006, recognizing his significant impact on music and culture. Further solidifying his legacy, Adler was honored with induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, receiving the Ahmet Ertegun Award alongside fellow music luminary Quincy Jones.
