Tom Aldredge
Biography
Thomas Ernest Aldredge (February 28, 1928 – July 22, 2011) was a distinguished American actor whose talent graced television, film, and the stage for over five decades. Aldredge's illustrious career is highlighted by his winning of a Daytime Emmy Award for his memorable portrayal of Shakespeare in the 1978 special, *Henry Winkler Meets William Shakespeare*.
Aldredge's Broadway contributions were significant, earning him five Tony Award nominations throughout his career. He is particularly remembered for his dual roles as the Narrator and the Mysterious Man in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim's acclaimed musical *Into the Woods*.
