Biography
Mark Damon, originally named Alan Harris, was born on April 22, 1933, and passed away on May 12, 2024. He was a prominent American actor and film producer. In 1960, he garnered significant recognition by winning the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year, thanks to his role in Roger Corman's adaptation of "House of Usher." Following this achievement, Damon relocated to Italy, where he became involved in the flourishing genre of Spaghetti Westerns. He found himself amidst the vibrant Dolce Vita scene in Rome during the 1960s, mingling with various actors and actresses of the time.
As the 1970s rolled in, Damon shifted his focus from acting to film production, establishing several production companies, including Producers Sales Organization, Vision International, MDP Worldwide, and Foresight Unlimited. This transition marked a significant change in his career, allowing him to contribute to the film industry from behind the scenes. Throughout his career, Damon was known for his versatility and dedication to the craft, leaving a lasting impact on both the acting and production sides of cinema.
