Thierry Lhermitte, born on November 24, 1952, is a prominent French actor, director, writer, and producer renowned for his contributions to comedy. In the 1970s, he co-founded the influential comedy group Le Splendid alongside notable talents like Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, and Michel Blanc. This troupe transitioned many of their successful stage productions to the big screen, achieving remarkable popularity with iconic films such as *Les Bronzés* (1978), *Les Bronzés font du ski* (1979), *Le Père Noël est une ordure* (1982), and *Un indien dans la ville* (1994).
Lhermitte's exceptional talent earned him the prestigious Prix Jean Gabin in 1981, recognizing his impact on French cinema. He was honored as Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur in 2001, a testament to his contributions to the arts, and further elevated to Officier of the Ordre national du Mérite in 2005.
