Jacques Gamblin is a distinguished French actor known for his versatile performances across theater and film. He began his artistic journey at the Centre Dramatique de Caen, where he honed his craft in acting. Initially, Gamblin's career path was set in a different direction as he worked as a technician for a theater company. However, his passion for the stage drew him into acting, leading him to further his studies at the Comédie de Caen.

Gamblin made his theatrical debut in Brittany at the Totem Theatre in Saint-Brieuc before joining the prestigious National Theatre under the direction of Pierre Debauche. His ambition brought him to Paris, where he meticulously selected roles that would showcase his talent. He made his film debut in 1985, marking the beginning of a successful film career.
