Biography

Camille Cottin is a renowned French actress celebrated for her versatile performances across film, television, and theater. Her journey began after five years of studying in London, where she honed her English skills, enabling her to teach high school before fully immersing herself in acting classes.

Cottin spent nearly 15 years on stage, seamlessly transitioning between classical theater and contemporary works. Her television career gained momentum in 2009 when she became part of the theater workshop La Troupe à Palmade. She gained widespread recognition in 2013 with her role in the series "Pep's," followed by her breakout performance in "Connasse," which led to the feature film "Connasse, princess of hearts," a hidden-camera comedy that earned her a nomination at the 41st César Awards.

Her career soared in 2015 when she starred in the critically acclaimed series "Ten Percent," created by Fanny Herrero. Cottin continued to solidify her status in French cinema with leading roles in films such as "Iris," "Cigarettes and Hot Chocolate" (2016), "Such a Mother, Such a Daughter" (2017), and notable appearances in "Les Fauves" (2018) and "The Mystery of Henri Pick" (2019).

In 2020, she made her international debut with significant roles in the third season of "Killing Eve," the biopic "House of Gucci" alongside Lady Gaga, and the thriller "Stillwater." She also lent her voice to the character of 22 in Pixar’s "Soul."

Beyond her on-screen endeavors, Cottin is committed to social causes, joining the 50/50 collective for gender equality in the audiovisual industry and co-founding the feminist production company Malmö in 2019.
