Sherrie Rose
Biography
Sherrie Rose, a talented and multifaceted artist, embarked on her journey at the age of 16 when she left her childhood home in a trailer park to pursue an education at the University of South Florida (USF). There, she excelled academically, earning a spot on the Dean's List for both electrical engineering and theatrical performance. Her passion for the arts ignited when she worked on the sound board for a theater production, inspiring her to step onto the stage herself.
Rose quickly made a name for herself in the acting world, receiving acclaim for her debut performance and landing roles in iconic television series like "Miami Vice" (1984) and the leading role in the comedic film "Summer Job" (1989). She garnered an Emmy nomination for her compelling work in the horror anthology "Tales from the Crypt" (1989). Notably, she starred alongside Billy Zane in "Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight" (1995), and the two share the same birthday, often celebrating together.
In 1999, Sherrie showcased her creative prowess by writing, directing, producing, and starring in "Me and Will," which premiered as part of the "Women in Film" series on the Sundance Channel, featuring a cameo from her friend Keanu Reeves. Rose's personal life has been equally captivating, with romantic connections to actor Michael DeLuise, Ray Liotta, rocker Dave Navarro, and Shane West.
