Sebastian Koch, born on May 31, 1962, is a distinguished German actor renowned for his compelling performances and significant contributions to cinema. He gained international acclaim in 2006 for his role as Georg Dreyman, a writer in East Germany, in Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's Oscar-winning film "The Lives of Others." This exceptional portrayal earned him multiple accolades, including the prestigious Italian Foreign Press Award and the "Globo d'Oro" for Best European Actor in 2007. Since then, Koch has featured in a variety of international films, solidifying his status as one of the most sought-after German actors of his generation.
In addition to his film career, Koch has captivated audiences through symphonic-scenic readings.
