George Wallace
Biography
George Henry Wallace, born on July 21, 1952, is a notable American comedian and actor with a diverse portfolio in film and television. He has taken on supporting roles in several movies, including the Coen Brothers' 2004 comedy, The Ladykillers, where he portrayed Sheriff Wyner. Wallace also made his mark in the superhero genre with a role as the Mayor of Gotham City in the 1995 film Batman Forever. His filmography includes appearances in A Rage in Harlem (1991), The Wash (2001), Punchline (1988), Things Are Tough All Over (1982), Postcards from the Edge (1990), and Mr. Deeds (2002).
In the realm of television, Wallace had a memorable cameo in the 2007 episode "My Words of Wisdom" of the popular sitcom Scrubs. He also guest-starred in the Seinfeld episode "The Checks," where he played a doctor momentarily distracted by the song "Witchy Woman." Additionally, he made a brief appearance in the introduction to the home video release of Jerry Seinfeld: I'm Telling You for the Last Time - Live on Broadway (1999), portraying a fictionalized version of himself.
