Paulette Dubost (October 8, 1910 – September 21, 2011) was a celebrated French actress who embarked on her artistic journey at the tender age of seven with the Paris Opera.

Over the course of her illustrious career, she appeared in more than 250 films, collaborating with renowned directors including Marcel Carné, Jean Renoir, Max Ophüls (notably in Le Plaisir, 1952, and Lola Montès, 1955), and François Truffaut. One of her most iconic performances came as Lisette in Renoir's classic film, The Rules of the Game (La règle du jeu, 1939). Initially, her character was meant to be a minor role requiring just a few days of filming; however, her performance and the dynamic nature of the production led to her part being expanded during the four-month shoot.
