Monte Markham
Biography
Monte Markham, born on June 21, 1935, in Manatee County, Florida, is a distinguished American actor known for his extensive work across film, television, and theater. He is the son of Millie Content and Jesse Edward Markham, Sr., a businessman.
Markham has built an impressive television resume, featuring notable appearances in popular series such as *Cold Case*, *Mission: Impossible*, *The Mod Squad*, and *Hogan's Heroes*. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Barney Hiller in two memorable episodes of *The Six Million Dollar Man*, particularly in "The Seven Million Dollar Man" and "The Bionic Criminal." Other credits include roles in *The Virginian*, *Ellery Queen*, and *Dallas*, as well as a lead role in the 1973 revival of *Perry Mason*.
His stage career began in earnest with his Broadway debut in 1973 in *Irene*, a performance that earned him the Theatre World Award. He also graced the stage in *Same Time, Next Year*.
