Seth Rogen
Biography
Seth Aaron Rogen, born on April 15, 1982, is a multifaceted Canadian actor, comedian, and filmmaker recognized for his prominent comedic roles in film. His impressive career has garnered nominations for three Golden Globe Awards, five Primetime Emmy Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Independent Spirit Award.
Rogen began his journey as a stand-up comedian in Vancouver before relocating to Los Angeles in 1999 to join the cast of Judd Apatow's cult classic series, *Freaks and Geeks*. He continued to work with Apatow, taking on a writing role in the sitcom *Undeclared* (2001) and later contributing as a writer on the final season of *Da Ali G Show* (2004), which earned an Emmy nomination for its writing team. His film career took off with small roles, including one in *Donnie Darko* (2001) and a supporting part in *The 40-Year-Old Virgin* (2005), which he co-produced.
Rogen starred in several of Apatow's hit comedies, such as *Knocked Up* (2007) and *Funny People* (2009). Alongside writing partner Evan Goldberg, he co-wrote and directed films like *Superbad* (2007) and *This Is the End* (2013). His diverse filmography includes notable roles in *50/50* (2011), *Steve Jobs* (2015), and *The Fabelmans* (2022), as well as voice work in animated films like *Kung Fu Panda* and *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem* (2023). Rogen has also made significant contributions to television, co-developing *Preacher* (2016–2019) and serving as an executive producer for *The Boys* and *Invincible*.
