David Kelly

David Kelly (July 11, 1929 – February 12, 2012) was a distinguished Irish actor celebrated for his remarkable contributions to film and television from the 1950s onward. Renowned for his distinct voice and memorable presence, Kelly became a beloved figure in both Irish theatre and cinema.
Among his most iconic performances, he portrayed Rashers Tierney in the acclaimed television drama Strumpet City and brought humor to the screen as Cousin Enda in the classic series Me Mammy. His role as the eccentric builder Mr. O'Reilly in the beloved British sitcom Fawlty Towers showcased his comedic talents. Additionally, he charmed audiences as Albert Riddle in the sitcom Robin's Nest and delighted viewers as Grandpa Joe in Tim Burton's adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).
