David Warner
Biography
David Hattersley Warner (July 29, 1941 – July 24, 2022) was a distinguished English actor celebrated for his versatile performances across film, television, and theater. Hailing from Manchester, Warner honed his craft at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before making a significant impact on the screen in the early 1960s. His breakout role came in Karel Reisz's film *Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment*, which earned him a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Throughout his prolific career, Warner showcased his ability to embody both charming protagonists and sinister villains. His extensive filmography includes notable works such as *The Ballad of Cable Hogue*, *Straw Dogs*, *Cross of Iron*, and *The Omen*. He also appeared in iconic productions like *Titanic*, *Mary Poppins Returns*, and the beloved fantasy *Time Bandits*. A significant part of his legacy lies in the *Star Trek* franchise, where he portrayed memorable characters in both *Star Trek V: The Final Frontier* and *Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country*, as well as in the acclaimed series *Star Trek: The Next Generation*.
