Timothy Darrell "Tim" Russ, born on June 22, 1956, is a multifaceted American actor, film director, screenwriter, and musician. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Lieutenant Commander Tuvok in the iconic series Star Trek: Voyager. In addition to his science fiction fame, Russ played Frank in the popular sitcom Samantha Who? and took on the recurring role of Principal Franklin in the beloved Nickelodeon series iCarly.

Raised in Washington, D.C., Tim is the son of a state government employee and a U.S. Air Force officer, leading to a diverse upbringing that included spending part of his childhood in Turkey.
