David Matthew Macfadyen, born on October 17, 1974, is a distinguished English actor celebrated for his captivating performances across both stage and screen. He first garnered widespread attention for his portrayal of Mr. Darcy in Joe Wright's critically acclaimed adaptation of Pride & Prejudice in 2005. More recently, Macfadyen has captivated audiences with his role as Tom Wambsgans in HBO's award-winning drama series, Succession, which aired from 2018 to 2023.
