Alex Rocco
Biography
Alex Rocco, originally named Alessandro Federico Petricone Jr., was an American actor born on February 29, 1936, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Rocco became known for his unique gravelly voice, which often led him to portray memorable villainous characters in film and television. One of his most iconic roles was Moe Greene in the 1972 classic film, The Godfather, a performance that solidified his place in cinematic history.
Beyond his film career, Rocco earned critical acclaim for his work on television, particularly for his role in the series The Famous Teddy Z, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award in 1990. Rocco's versatility allowed him to transition into voice-over work, where he lent his distinctive voice to numerous animated projects and commercials later in his career.
