Peter Cushing
Biography
Peter Wilton Cushing, OBE (26 May 1913 – 11 August 1994), was a renowned English actor celebrated for his extensive work in Hammer Films, where he famously portrayed characters such as Baron Frankenstein and Dr. Van Helsing. His collaborations with Christopher Lee, and occasionally with Vincent Price, made him a staple of the horror genre. Cushing gained recognition on both sides of the Atlantic, with notable performances outside of Hammer including his roles as Sherlock Holmes and as Grand Moff Tarkin in the iconic Star Wars (1977). He also starred as the enigmatic Doctor Who in the theatrical adaptations of the beloved television series, Doctor Who and the Daleks and Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD, released in 1965 and 1966, respectively.
