Lucas Hedges, born on December 12, 1996, is a talented American actor recognized for his compelling performances across film and theater. He is the son of filmmaker Peter Hedges and honed his craft at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Hedges launched his acting career with a notable supporting role in Wes Anderson's whimsical comedy-drama, *Moonrise Kingdom* (2012).
His significant breakthrough came in 2016 when he portrayed a sharp-witted teenager in Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed drama, *Manchester by the Sea*. This role garnered him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, marking him as a rising star in Hollywood.
