Jay Duplass

Lawrence Jay Duplass Jr. (born March 7, 1973) is a prominent American filmmaker, actor, and author, celebrated for his contributions to independent cinema alongside his brother, Mark Duplass. Together, they have crafted several notable films, including the acclaimed dramedy *The Puffy Chair* (2005), which helped define the mumblecore movement, as well as the engaging narratives of *Cyrus* (2010) and *Jeff, Who Lives at Home* (2011).
In addition to his film work, Duplass has made significant strides in television. He gained recognition for his role in the Amazon Video series *Transparent* (2014–2019), which garnered critical acclaim and multiple awards.
