Biography
Robert Ben Garant, born on September 14, 1970, is a multi-talented American actor, comedian, writer, director, and producer. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Deputy Travis Junior in the cult comedy series Reno 911!, showcasing his unique blend of humor and character work. Additionally, Garant was a prominent cast member on the influential MTV sketch show The State, which helped launch the careers of several notable comedians.
Together with his longtime writing collaborator and fellow actor Thomas Lennon, Garant has co-written a number of successful screenplays, most notably for the popular Night at the Museum franchise, which garnered critical acclaim and box office success.
In 2010, Garant and Lennon ventured into television with a sitcom pilot for NBC titled The Strip. Despite their creative efforts, the network ultimately chose not to move forward with the series. Later that same year, the duo developed a pilot for FX called USS Alabama, a comedic sci-fi series set a millennium into the future aboard a United Nations Peacekeeping vessel, highlighting their versatility in blending genres.
Throughout his career, Garant has made significant contributions to comedy and entertainment, leaving a lasting impact on both television and film with his innovative storytelling and engaging performances.
