Biography
Peter Edward Ostling, known professionally as Peter Jason, was a prolific American character actor born on July 22, 1944. Over his extensive career, which spanned several decades, he made his mark in the entertainment industry by appearing in more than one hundred television series and eighty films. Jason is perhaps best remembered for his role as Con Stapleton in the critically acclaimed HBO series Deadwood.
He had a notable collaborative relationship with renowned directors Walter Hill and John Carpenter, working with Hill on eight films and Carpenter on six. This partnership highlighted his versatility and talent within the genre films they produced. Additionally, Jason lent his voice to the character Sergeant Dornan in the popular video game Fallout 2, showcasing his skills beyond traditional acting roles.
Throughout his career, he also took on memorable supporting roles in notable films such as 48 Hrs. and Arachnophobia, further solidifying his status as a recognizable figure in Hollywood.
