Samuel Joel “Zero” Mostel (February 28, 1915 – September 8, 1977) was a prominent American actor celebrated for his exceptional talent in both theater and film. Mostel is perhaps best remembered for his unforgettable performances as Tevye in the iconic musical Fiddler on the Roof, as well as his role as the crafty Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, which he portrayed on both stage and screen.
