Aristotelis "Telly" Savalas (January 21, 1922 – January 22, 1994) was a prominent American actor and singer, whose multifaceted career unfolded over a remarkable four decades.
He gained widespread recognition for his iconic portrayal of Lieutenant Theo Kojak in the popular 1970s crime series "Kojak," a role that solidified his status in the entertainment industry. Savalas's talent was further acknowledged when he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his compelling performance in "Birdman of Alcatraz" (1962).
