Paul Williams
Biography
Paul Williams embarked on his journey in comedy with the improv group TNT, which had a modest following in Nelson. His passion for performance led him to Wellington, where he took the stage for his first stand-up appearance in 2013. Williams soon expanded his horizons, making significant strides in the comedy circuit.
In 2016, he showcased his talent at prestigious events, including the Melbourne Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where he played a supporting role in Rose Matafeo’s acclaimed show, ‘Finally Dead.’ His contributions to the comedy scene did not go unnoticed, as he garnered a nomination for the distinguished Billy T Award in 2017, recognizing him as one of New Zealand's promising comedic talents.
With a unique style and a flair for storytelling, Paul continues to engage audiences and carve out his place in the world of comedy, building on his early experiences and achievements. His growing body of work reflects his dedication and passion for the craft, positioning him as an emerging figure in New Zealand's vibrant comedy landscape.
