Jessi, born Jessica Ho on December 17, 1988, is an American rapper and singer who has made a significant impact on the South Korean music scene. Originally from New York and raised in New Jersey, she relocated to South Korea during her teenage years, where her musical journey began to take shape.
In 2005, Jessi launched her career as a vocalist under the name Jessica HO, later adopting the more streamlined moniker, Jessi. She gained early recognition as a member of two mixed-gender groups, Uptown and Lucky J, both of which have since disbanded.
