Shemar Franklin Moore, born on April 20, 1970, is a versatile American actor, producer, and former fashion model. Best recognized for his significant contributions to television, Moore gained fame for his portrayal of Malcolm Winters on the long-running soap opera The Young and the Restless. He further solidified his career with his role as Derek Morgan on the hit series Criminal Minds and as Hondo in the action-packed drama S.W.A.T., all of which aired on CBS.
In addition to his television success, Moore served as the third permanent host of the iconic music and dance show Soul Train from 1999 until 2003, showcasing his charisma and talent beyond acting.
