Dominic Keating
Biography
Dominic Keating, born on July 1, 1962, is a distinguished English actor celebrated for his compelling role as Lieutenant Malcolm Reed in the acclaimed series Star Trek: Enterprise.
Hailing from Leicester, Keating grew up in a family with a rich heritage; his Irish father had a grandfather who earned an OBE as a brigadier. His passion for performance ignited early, starting with a primary school role in The Ragged School, which set the stage for his future endeavors. He later attended Uppingham School and went on to achieve First Class Honours in History from University College London.
Initially exploring a variety of career options, Keating ultimately pursued acting full-time. To secure his Equity card, he performed in a drag act named Feeling Mutual, marking the beginning of his professional journey in the theater world.
In addition to his notable television work, including appearances in various films and stage productions, Keating has also embraced life in both London and Los Angeles since 2005. Outside of acting, he enjoys a range of hobbies such as golf, swimming, music, boogie boarding, tennis, reading, and traveling. His diverse interests reflect a vibrant personality, contributing to his lasting appeal in the entertainment industry.
