Shawn Doyle
Biography
Shawn Doyle, born in 1968, is a talented Canadian actor recognized for his diverse roles in film and television. Hailing from Wabush, Newfoundland, he is the son of fellow actor Jerry Doyle. Shawn pursued his passion for the performing arts at York University in Toronto, where he honed his theatrical skills.
Doyle gained significant acclaim for his portrayal of Dennis Langley in the critically lauded series The Eleventh Hour, earning him three prestigious awards. After relocating to Los Angeles, he further established his reputation with memorable roles in popular American television series. He played Ronnie Lobell in the suspenseful drama 24, Mr. Hartley in the iconic Desperate Housewives, and Joey Henrickson, a former NFL player, in HBO's Big Love.
In addition to his television work, Shawn has appeared in several films, including portraying Jack Shepard in Frequency and Brian in the 1998 movie Babyface. His film credits also feature a role in the 2005 romantic drama Sabah, A Love Story. Notably, he took on significant parts in TV films such as John in The Robber Bride adaptation and a lawyer in the series Lost. Currently, he stars as Arkady Balagan, an agoraphobic chess prodigy, in the Showcase original series Endgame.
Shawn shares his life with actress Allegra Fulton, and together they have one son.
