Robert Anthony De Niro, born on August 17, 1943, is a celebrated American actor and film producer, renowned as one of the most significant and impactful actors of his era. His impressive career has garnered numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards and a Golden Globe Award, alongside eight BAFTA nominations and four Emmy nominations. Notable honors include the AFI Life Achievement Award (2003), the Kennedy Center Honors (2009), the Cecil B. DeMille Award (2011), and the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award (2019). In 2016, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama.

De Niro honed his craft at prestigious institutions such as the HB Studio and the Actors Studio, with his debut screen appearance in Brian De Palma's Greetings (1968).
