Paul Bettany
Biography
Paul Bettany, born on May 27, 1971, is a prominent English actor celebrated for his portrayal of J.A.R.V.I.S. and Vision within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He featured prominently in the acclaimed Disney+ series WandaVision (2021), which earned him a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award, and is set to reprise his role in the anticipated Vision Quest (2026).
Bettany rose to fame with notable performances in films such as Gangster No. 1 (2000), A Knight's Tale (2001), and A Beautiful Mind (2001). His role as Stephen Maturin in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) earned him a BAFTA Award nomination. His filmography also includes a variety of successful titles like Dogville (2003), Wimbledon (2004), The Da Vinci Code (2006), The Tourist (2010), Margin Call (2011), Legend (2015), and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). He made his directorial debut with Shelter (2014), which he also wrote and co-produced.
