Marino Masé, born on March 21, 1939, in Trieste, Italy, is a distinguished actor renowned for his contributions to cinema since the early 1960s. Over his extensive career, he has appeared in more than 70 films, showcasing a remarkable versatility in his craft.
Masé embarked on his artistic journey as a teenager when he joined the youth acting workshop of Franco Cristaldi's Vides production company, where he honed his skills under the guidance of Alessandro Fersen. His stage career commenced in 1960 with "L'arialda," directed by the illustrious Luchino Visconti. The following year, he made his film debut in the adventure "Romulus and the Sabines," helmed by Richard Pottier.
Throughout the 1960s, Masé garnered attention with leading roles in acclaimed films such as Marco Bellocchio's "Fists in the Pocket" and Jean-Luc Godard's "Les Carabiniers." While his later career saw him predominantly in supporting roles, his performances continued to shine, contributing to various film projects across genres. In addition to acting, Masé has been active in dubbing, particularly in adapting dialogues, further showcasing his linguistic talents.
