Biography
Derek Yee Tung-sing (Chinese: 爾冬陞), born on December 28, 1957, is a distinguished figure in the Hong Kong film industry, known for his dual roles as an actor and filmmaker. He rose to prominence as a Shaw Brothers actor, featuring in over 40 films from 1975 to 1986, a period during which the studio was at its peak. Yee is the younger half-brother of renowned actors Paul Chun and David Chiang, the latter also a notable star of the Shaw Brothers era.
Transitioning from acting, Yee shifted his focus to directing and screenwriting, carving out a niche for himself where commercial success meets artistic expression. His filmography includes acclaimed works such as "C'est la vie, mon chéri," "Viva Erotica," and "The Truth About Jane and Sam."
