Anna Lee, MBE (originally named Joan Boniface Winnifrith; born on January 2, 1913, and passed away on May 14, 2004) was a renowned British actress. She tied the knot with director Robert Stevenson in 1933 and relocated to Hollywood six years later, in 1939. Lee became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1945. Her life took a tragic turn in 1981 when a car accident resulted in her being paralyzed from the waist down.
Throughout her career, Lee gained recognition for her work in film and television, earning her place as a beloved figure in the entertainment industry. Her contributions spanned several decades, showcasing her remarkable talent and resilience. Despite the challenges she faced later in life, her spirit and dedication to her craft remained unwavering.
