Biography
Saswata Chatterjee, born on December 19, 1970, is a prominent Indian actor known for his work in both television and film, primarily based in Kolkata. He is the son of esteemed actor Subhendu Chatterjee and began his artistic journey with a Hindi television series directed by Saibal Mitra, which was adapted from Samaresh Majumdar's novel, Kaalpurush.
Chatterjee rose to fame for his memorable role as Topshe in the Feluda television series helmed by Sandip Ray, capturing the hearts of audiences with his engaging performance. His talent has been widely recognized in the Bengali film industry, particularly for his compelling portrayal of a character inspired by Ritwik Ghatak in the critically acclaimed 2013 film, Meghe Dhaka Tara.
His career reached new heights with his performance in the 2012 Hindi thriller Kahaani, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, where he portrayed the chilling character of Bob Biswas, an assassin, earning him national recognition and accolades.
