Nathaniel Arcand
Biography
Nathaniel Arcand, born on November 13, 1971, is a prominent Canadian actor of Nēhilawē (Plains Cree) heritage, hailing from the Alexander First Nation Reserve.
Arcand gained widespread recognition for his compelling portrayal of William MacNeil, a troubled teenager, in the acclaimed Canadian drama series North of 60, where he captivated audiences for three seasons. His performance earned him a nomination for a Gemini Award in 1997 for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Series" for the episode "Traces and Tracks."
He has made significant contributions to television, notably as Clinton Skye in the CBS crime series FBI: Most Wanted, and he remains a beloved character as Scott Cardinal on the long-running CBC series Heartland. His extensive television repertoire includes appearances in popular shows such as Murdoch Mysteries, Smallville, Longmire, Bull, Supernatural, and Into the West.
In addition to his television work, Arcand stars as Victor Merasty in Blackstone, a poignant exploration of First Nations politics set within a small Plains Cree community. He also features as Nathan in the comedic drama Two Indians Talking, which received the Most Popular Canadian Film Award at the 2010 Vancouver International Film Festival.
