Biography

Shaun Evans, born on March 6, 1980, in Liverpool, is a talented English actor known for his diverse roles across film and television. He honed his craft at the National Youth Theatre before moving to London at eighteen to attend the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Evans first gained significant recognition in 2002 with his portrayal of John Paul Keating, a gay French teacher, in the Channel 4 comedy-drama *Teachers*, which marked a pivotal moment in his career. The following year, he made his cinematic debut in *The Boys from County Clare*, alongside notable actors such as Bernard Hill and Colm Meaney. His filmography includes a variety of projects, such as *Being Julia*, *The Situation*, *Cashback*, and the award-winning *Boy A*, as well as *Telstar*, *Princess Ka'iulani*, and Clive Barker’s horror film *Dread*.

On television, Evans showcased his versatility in the 2002 docudrama *The Project*, and he portrayed the Earl of Southampton in the miniseries *The Virgin Queen*, which aired in 2005.
