Mena Massoud
Biography
Mena Massoud is a talented actor of Coptic Egyptian heritage, born in Cairo, Egypt, to Coptic Orthodox Christian parents. He spent his formative years in Canada after emigrating with his family at a young age. Massoud grew up in Markham, Ontario, where he attended St. Brother André Catholic High School.
His breakout role came in July 2017 when he was cast as Aladdin in Disney’s much-anticipated live-action adaptation of the beloved animated classic. This role significantly raised his profile in the entertainment industry.
In addition to his acting career, Massoud is a staunch advocate for veganism. He has channeled his passion for plant-based living into a unique venture, founding the food travel show Evolving Vegan, which explores the intersection of travel and plant-based cuisine. With his dedication to both his craft and his values, Mena Massoud continues to inspire audiences through his performances and commitment to promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
