Biography
Edward Bridge “Ted” Danson III, born on December 29, 1947, is a prominent American actor celebrated for his iconic portrayal of Sam Malone in the beloved sitcom Cheers. His impressive career also includes the role of Dr. John Becker in the series Becker, and he has made memorable appearances on Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm. Danson showcased his dramatic chops alongside Glenn Close in the legal thriller Damages and currently stars in the HBO comedy Bored to Death.
Throughout his extensive three-decade career, Danson has garnered significant acclaim, earning fourteen nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards and winning twice.
