Sid Caesar (September 8, 1922 – February 12, 2014) was a prominent American comedian and writer, celebrated for his role as the star of the influential 1950s television program Your Show of Shows. In addition to his television success, Caesar is also well-remembered for his portrayal of Coach Calhoun in the beloved films Grease and its sequel, Grease 2.
