Biography

Kevin Anderson, born on January 13, 1960, is a versatile American actor celebrated for his work in theater, film, and television, as well as his talents as a singer and drummer. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Ben Woodward in the 1991 thriller *Sleeping with the Enemy*, followed by notable performances as Robert G. Kennedy in *Hoffa* (1992) and Bob Richmond in *Rising Sun*, where he starred alongside Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes. His filmography also includes Peter Lewis in *A Thousand Acres* (1997), Frank Gifford in *Monday Night Mayhem* (2002), Mr. Parable in *Charlotte's Web* (2006), and the character Father Ray in the critically acclaimed ABC series *Nothing Sacred*, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination.

A prominent member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Anderson has shared the stage with renowned talents such as John Malkovich and Laurie Metcalf. His stage accomplishments include winning a Theatre World Award and a Joseph Jefferson Award for his role in Lyle Kessler’s play *Orphans*. In 1993, he originated the role of Joe Gillis in the London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's *Sunset Boulevard*, opposite Patti LuPone, though both were unexpectedly let go from the production.

Anderson was honored with a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play in 1999 and received a Tony Award nomination for his role in the revival of *Death of a Salesman*. In January 2008, he made his Broadway debut in *Come Back, Little Sheba*, and since September 2009, he has taken on the role of Andy Dufresne in the London production of *The Shawshank Redemption* at Wyndham’s Theatre.
