Oh Dal-su
Biography
Oh Dal-su (오달수) is a prominent South Korean actor known for his diverse roles in both theater and film. His acting journey commenced in the vibrant theater scene of Busan, and in 2001, he took on the role of director for the theater company Singiru Manhwagyeong ("Mirage and Kaleidoscope"). His extensive background in stage performances, including local productions like Ogu, paved the way for Oh to become a sought-after supporting and character actor in cinematic releases.
Throughout his career, Oh has appeared in a multitude of successful films, portraying a variety of memorable characters. Notable performances include that of the proprietor of a privately-run prison funded by organized crime in Oldboy (2003), a former gang leader in Mapado (2005), a weapons smuggler in A Bittersweet Life (2005), a transvestite in Foxy Festival (2010), a Chinese-Korean con artist in The Thieves (2012), and a compassionate inmate in Miracle in Cell No. 7. Additionally, he contributed his voice to the monster in the acclaimed film The Host (2006). Oh Dal-su's versatility and talent have made him a respected figure in the South Korean entertainment industry.
