Lee Charles
Biography
Lee Charles hails from Birkenhead, located in the Wirral region of Merseyside, England. His passion for martial arts ignited at a young age, inspired by the captivating performances in Bruce Lee films. Lee commenced his training at the age of six, starting with Shotokan Karate. Prior to embracing martial arts, he demonstrated remarkable athleticism as a football player, competing for teams such as Everton and Tranmere, before eventually signing with Wrexham. Unfortunately, his football career faced an abrupt halt due to an injury, leading to the end of his contract.
Undeterred, Lee redirected his focus entirely to martial arts, diversifying his training across multiple disciplines. His dedication paid off as he earned the title of six-time World Kickboxing Champion. In 2005, Lee took a significant step in his career by moving to the United States to chase his dream of working in Hollywood. While in West Hollywood, he had the fortune of meeting his idol, the esteemed kickboxer, martial artist, actor, and choreographer, Benny Urquidez. This pivotal encounter set Lee on a path toward fame, as Benny invited him to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to pursue formal training in acting and stunt performance. Lee quickly became part of Benny's stunt team. He made his film debut in 2008 and has since appeared in productions like Dracula Untold (2014), Viking Destiny (2018), and The Marine 6: Close Quarters (2018).
